1. Who we are

Wedge Golf Ventures LLC ("Fulcrum Golf," "we," "us") operates thefulcrumgolf.com and the Fulcrum Golf mobile web app, a service that helps golfers find and organize rounds with other members. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Contact us about privacy matters through our contact form or by mail at [BUSINESS ADDRESS: needs a real value from the business owner].

2. Information we collect

Account information: email address and password (or, if you choose, LinkedIn sign-in credentials).

Profile information: name, date of birth, general location, profile photo, skill level, handicap, and any optional details you add (industry, job title, interests, smoking/drinking preferences, Instagram handle, availability).

Content you create: posts, comments, reactions, course reviews, and messages you send to other members.

Location data:your general area, derived from an address or place you search for. We never store or show your exact coordinates to other members. If you enable "traveling" mode, we use your device's live location temporarily to find golfers near where you actually are.

Device and usage information: a push-notification subscription token if you enable notifications, and basic, aggregated usage analytics (see Section 7).

3. How we use your information

  • To match you with compatible golfers based on skill, availability, and location
  • To operate core features: posts, messaging, tee-time listings, group chats
  • To send you notifications about activity relevant to you (in-app, push, and email)
  • To keep the community safe: investigating reports, enforcing our Terms of Service
  • To maintain and improve the service

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the service:

  • Supabase, our database, authentication, and file-storage provider
  • Mapbox, for location search and map display
  • Resend, for transactional email delivery
  • LinkedIn, only if you choose to sign in with or verify your LinkedIn account

Other members can see the profile information you choose to make visible, your posts, and content you send them directly. We may also disclose information if required by law.

5. Your rights and choices

  • Edit or remove most profile information anytime from your profile settings
  • Turn off email notifications using the unsubscribe link in any email we send
  • Turn off push notifications from your device or account settings
  • Permanently delete your account and associated data from the Account page -- this removes your profile, posts, messages, connections, and photos

If you are located in the EU/EEA, UK, or California, you may have additional rights under GDPR or the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to access, correct, or request a copy of your data. Contact us using the details in Section 1 to exercise these rights.

6. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your profile and associated content promptly, except where we're required to retain limited records for legal or security purposes.

7. Cookies and analytics

We use privacy-preserving, aggregated website analytics to understand overall usage patterns. We don't use third-party advertising trackers.

8. Children's privacy

Fulcrum Golf is only for people 18 years of age or older. We verify your date of birth at signup and do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

9. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards (encrypted connections, database-level access controls that restrict what each member can see, and secure authentication) to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date.
